Lions, Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

I’m here with Nick, who is not sure when his next meal is going to be.

And so, you know, you always have to have plenty to have in the tank just in case you lose your energy.

Hey, it’s Barb.

I’m here with Nick, who is not sure when his next meal is going to be.

And so, you know, you always have to have plenty to have in the tank just in case you lose your energy.

But I’m out here in the pasture and I just have a real simple message for you, and that is the, seize the day message that, you know, this is the journey and our goals.

They just propel us forward, but they’re not really the ultimate destination. It’s really about the days and, you know, I saw a video from Ben Atkinson on one of Warwick’s little podcast snippets.

That was like perfect because this is what I was going to talk about. And he talks about that. There is no destination.

There’s always just the next thing that you reach for and discover. And my first video this week is about falling in love.

Because it’s just such discovery and you just don’t know where it’s going to take you and like how far can you go and where will that be?

So, that’s my message and also when I went out to get on my horse, cause Tom, had saddled him for me because I’ve had a shoulder thing.

And he put a rose on my cinch and it was like the sweetest thing, the sweetest thing.

So it’s the moments, it’s the journey, it’s to love learning and, define the treasures and the ups and downs.

So have a good day, by the way, there’s lions and tigers and bears and those woods are maybe coyotes and pigs and, birds and rabbits, something like that.

Anyway, you guys have a great day. Bye bye.

  2. Very sweet husband, mine too saddles my 14.2 hand AQHA roan gelding, Just Call Me “Earl” but a rose! Nice.

So enjoy your ‘moments in the journey’ and time in your pasture (I walk mine with my Jack Russell every morning), definitely pigs and rabbits and coyotes out there.
Thank you for being you, Barb,
    Devon

  4. Great words to live by. We sometimes loose our direction and need that push to “keep on keeping on” no matter what obstacles we encounter. Thank again. That was a beautiful rose!

  6. Hi Barb, We didn’t get to see you but we did see Nic having an enjoyable grazing time, even though there might have been lions and tigers close by! I love the idea that there really is no certain destination but that we need to fall in love with learning! Thank you!

  8. Thanks for sharing, I know I say that often. I’m grateful for your encouragement & reminders. I love that Tom loves you & shows it practically by saddling Nic & romantically with the 🌹 . And you look great in the video 😁🤩
