Letting Go of The Outcome

This week’s message is one of the most powerful ideas that can help you stay focused on the process of riding (or doing anything 😊!) – and adopting a mindset that frees you to see options and take advantage of unforeseen opportunities that can supercharge your new year’s goals.

  2. Spot on, Barb. Thank you for reminding me that I actually know what brings me joy. Building that joy means work … not always a welcome thought but I know to eat that elephant one bite at a time. I en’joy’ helping others do the same. I am so grateful to you for continuing to teach this way … supporting us in finding our own way, in our own time, with our own talents. Happy 2025 … hope to see you soon.

  8. Reminds me of similar words of wisdom from the past – Quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson: “It’s not the Destination, It’s the journey.”

Add to that: So believe in the process.

  14. I love what you have said about being in the process with goals, but essentially letting go of how it will actually play out. Life continually takes me to new and unexpected places (internally and externally), whether I want to go or not. It is so helpful when I can be flexible and responsive rather than clinging to the original idea or goal. I think my horses really appreciate this approach as well :-).
Thank you, Barbara, for encouraging us to connect to ourselves, our horses, and to life in these beautiful ways.

  16. Barb – this is so good! And your comments about being open to new things. So powerful. Especially as people of faith being open to where God is leading us rather than the plan we have in our heads!
