Showing UP!
Hey, it’s Barb.
Thank you for your comments and input about showing, what it means to you and your different challenges. They’ve helped me put the final touches on a new live and FREE workshop, Showing Up, which will be released early this week. I’ll email you when it’s ready.
For those of you who show, go to clinics, or ride in front of other people, the entire experience is so much more than what you only see on the outside and what the results are.

Now, results are important. I’m not saying, of course, that they’re not.
However, a lot more goes on to achieve results and have a happy and fulfilling experience.
The actual act of showing is like the tip of the iceberg. This tiny little peak is at the top, sticking out of the water. And there’s this massive mass below. Well, that’s how competition is.
We hope that our time in the show arena is an exquisite expression of the connection between ourselves and our horse at that moment—at a certain place and at a certain time.
But for that to happen, many separate and important pieces need to come together behind the scenes.
Brene Brown once said that If you put yourself out there – if you show up (which is how I got the title of the workshop), sometimes we’ll do well, and sometimes we’ll get our butts kicked. And boy, we all know that that’s true.
I’ll email you this week, so be on the lookout for it for the workshop opening.
I’m super excited about it. It’s all brand new and full of new information.
In the end, you’ll have the building blocks that make up the totality of your experience showing (or going out in public in any way) an experience that can be challenging (I’m certainly not saying it’s easy). Still, you’ll have the pieces to put energy into and cultivate that genuinely reflect what you love and your unique situation.
Your horse, you, where you’re at, your journey—these are really key elements to making it happen in a way that you keep learning and keep enjoying.
So that’s what I have for you today.
It’s coming your way for those interested in showing or taking your horse out and about.
Even if you don’t show, I believe you would enjoy this workshop.
Again, I’ll let you know more about it soon. So be on the lookout for the email. I’m super excited because I’m doing it in an entirely new way.
So there you go. Have a great week, and see you there.
Leave a message, please.
