We believe we should work hard in order to be happy, but could we be thinking about things backwards? In this fast-moving and very funny talk, psychologist Shawn Achor argues that, actually, happiness inspires us to be more productive.

Barbara, thank you so much for sharing this! I love Ted talks in the things that one can learn from them, but this one in particular was both eye-opening, as well as struck a very familiar cord with me. I have long understood that being happy isn’t dependent upon external circumstances, but I also must say that external circumstances can make being happy a lot more challenging during some seasons of life!
Love this
Great info delightfully presented.
One of the best Ted talks I’ve seen in a while, Barb. Loved it!
Loved it! Going to try it and going to get my friends to watch it. Thanks Barb!
Thank you so much Barbra! Going to practice his message❣️
Thanks for sharing this. Laughed out loud several times; which is something I don’t do often enough. (Overachiever that’s way too serious). I like having concrete suggestions to practice.
Thanks Barb, This was short and just GREAT. He was so clever, and funny! I’m gong to work on those 5 areas he outlined, for the next 21 days and see how it helps my happiness level. Thank you so much
That was totally awesome-and I’m sharing it far and wide and I’m so GRATEFUL that you passed it on to us!!!! THANK-you!
Thank you for sharing. A really great perspective, and so in line with your teaching about confidence within and with our horses.
Great message. Of course I took a photo of what I will be doing for 21+ days. Many thanks
Hilarious but right on the mark ! Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for sharing this! It’s taken me a long time to recognize that multi-tasking and just getting everything done doesn’t leave time for relaxation and really isn’t rewarding. Yes there is a moment of instant gratification but it’s exhausting and doesn’t leave time to enjoy the moments in life.
This is wonderful! Thanks.
Thank you so much for sharing this, Barb. It is an absolutely glorious presentation – so thought provoking and truly mind and life changing. Love it. Love you.
Love TED talks, this one was excellent! Thank you for sharing Barb 🙂
What a kick!! I loved this, thank you❤️
That got me moving and excited for new ways not only for me but for helping others.
Thanks as always for sharing
Loved this, going to journal my three gratitudes each day. Thank you for sharing this.
Loved it! Who would have thought the opposite of what information we usually take in is waaaayyyy too negative.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful perspective!
