Oh, those dreaded mistakes!

I just finished a book club meeting with our Circle of Trust group this past week. We discussed Daniel Coyle’s two books, mainly The Little Book of Talent.

We talked about what was meaningful to us – what made an impact. That’s what this video is all about.

It’s Barb, and I’m out here in the beautiful pasture with Nic. The grass is high; it’s about to be cut for hay.

I just finished a book club meeting with our Circle of Trust group. We discussed Daniel Coyle’s two books, mainly ‘The Little Book of Talent.’

We discussed what was meaningful to us – what made an impact.

One of Daniel Coyle’s research findings was that in the greatest talent hotbeds in the world, coaches taught students to love their mistakes.

That’s hard because none of us want to show our weaknesses. We don’t want to appear to not know something.

However, when you make an error, that is your personalized place to learn the next thing. And as hard as it is – and as counterintuitive as it is – that’s the spot.
You need to back up to fix where the error just began to happen.

Our book club inspired me. We had a great time. The Circle of Trust is a group you can join when you take an online course with me. We do interviews about once every two months and a book club every once in a while. It’s a lot of fun.

That’s my message today – learn to embrace the mistakes. I hope you have a great day.

Please leave a note for me.
