Raley Mae Radomske

For a couple of months I wanted to write regarding the power of telling positive stories about future events in your life. This month I am compelled to share this strategy through the example of a real life story that has kept me glued to my emails. I have been inspired on a daily basis since August 1st. This story continues to unfold as you read this.

The tail is about hope, faith in God, and the ultimate “Never Give Up” attitude of Raley Mae Radomske. Her family shares her attitude and the events of their lives through her website:
www.caringbridge.org/visit/raleymae.

Raley is a truly beautiful, 18 year old girl from Ellensburg, Washington. She was the National High School Rodeo Association Student President ’08-’09, the National Cutting Horse Association $10,000 Amateur World Champion 2004, the All Around Champion at the ’08 National High School Rodeo Finals … among so many more national titles.

I met her personally when she was eight years old. I am friends with her parents. In fact, my first cutting horse training job was with her dad, Harland Radomske.

At the beginning of August, as Raley was on her way to college at New Mexico State University, she was diagnosed with a sizeable brain tumor labeled, “nasty looking”. Since that time she had two intense brain surgeries (during one of them, her brain began to hemorrhage and there was grave concern). After the second surgery, she was unable to speak or move her right side.

Through even the darkest hours, the messages from her family always spoke of a clear vision for her recovery.

Then, one-by-one nothing less than miracles seemed to emerge.

The pathology came back benign. In a matter of weeks her speech and language skills, as well as the function of her right side began to steadily improve. Of course, the rehab is hard work, but that is nothing new to Raley as evidenced by her previous successes.

All the people in this real life story never stopped telling, and praying, for the positive story of her complete recovery … including Raley herself.

I invite you to visit her website (click on her image above) and prepare to be inspired. Raley is currently returning to Las Cruces, New Mexico!
