Happy Springtime!
Wishing you the luck of the Irish!!!
I have a personal dream I want to share with you.
I plan to work with children’s hospitals … either raising money, or developing a Child Life program utilizing horse experiences for kids.
Here are two recent developments:
Share The Love

February certainly has entered as Old Man Winter who has come, is visiting, and staying awhile.
Here’s one of the best things about this year’s imposing winter that seems to keep going on, and on, and on.
This Spring is going to be so well appreciated!
Happy New Year!
2010, while challenging, was a good one.
I grew in appreciation of everything … even the difficult stuff.
I rode some wonderful horses, and learned a lot. I loved writing, and teaching more than ever.
Friendships flourished. I said, “Good-bye, and I’ll see you again someday,” to some dear friends.
And now here it is … 2011.
Merry Christmas!

Here’s wishing you the best, and the warmest of holiday seasons.
It’s a great time to show the people in your life how much they mean to you.
It’s also a great time to love on your horses, too. One of those stockings up there could be filled with horse cookies. The ponies in your life would like that!

Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s hard to believe it’s November already … the month for gratitude, and Thanksgiving. What a wonderful holiday.
Here’s a scene from our deck that shows how gorgeous the weather, and opaque colors have been this year in Texas. We’ve been soaking up the beauty.
There are some exciting NEW things coming up.
Something that’s here, right now, is a new Digital Audio Book version of The Gift. That box with the big brown button has all the info.
Ruby Update
Our little girl, Ruby is growing up. She’s gone for a month for cow work training. So far,so good. The trainer has good things to say. Can’t wait to get her back!
Finally cool weather has come to Texas. Ahhhh … what a relief. I love the Fall.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game
I just returned from a marvelous celebration of my mom’s 90th birthday in St. Louis, Mo.
I grew up in Illinois, just across the river from St. Louis. I also grew up going to Cardinal baseball games. My mom definitely belongs to the Cardinal Nation!
Change is Constant
Last weekend we went to the fourth of July parade in Independence, Texas.
Now, Independence, Texas is “technically” the tiny town where I live. As a huge stretch, you might say it’s a suburb of Brenham, Texas! (-:
Independence has a local color country store, a couple of houses in town, a gorgeous church, the Antique Rose Emporium (my personal fave), and of course, the July 4th parade.
